Donations

Through our three community based homes, we offer youth the skills necessary to become productive members of our community. We need your support in realizing this goal. These youth need caring individuals, community leaders, and organizations to invest in their future. It is an investment that benefits the entire community. Kairos Youth Services is a tax exempt non-profit agency that gladly accepts donations. All contributions are tax deductible. Individuals aged 70 1/2 or older are eligible to rollover transfers of up to $100,000 directly from their Individual Retirement Account (IRA) to public charities. Kairos is registered as a 501 (c)3 charitable organization. For more information please talk with your tax advisor.  Also, please remember us in your trust and will.

We would like to thank all individual, group, and business donors who make a daily difference in the lives of the youth that we serve

How Your Dollars Are Spent

The following activities and purchases were made possible by individual and community donations. Thank You.

* The Great Falls Local Station 8 Fire Fighters paid the registration fees for a team from the Missouri River Youth and Shelter Home to participate in the annual Spring Thing Hoop Fling. Although they failed to win a game, they competed admirably, and had the opportunity to participate in a pro social, productive, and healthy activity. Thank you Fire Fighters!

* Evergreen Youth and Shelter Home spent the day at Lewis and Clark Caverns for their annual summer trip. They also enjoyed a wonderful meal at a pleasant restaurant in Helena. Earlier this summer they planned and executed a yard sale to help finance their trip.

* Provided gratis treatment and/or shelter in excess of $29,000.

* Purchased school pictures and yearbooks for youth who could not otherwise afford them.

* Allowed us to purchase tickets so an Evergreen resident and an Aftercare participant could attend the Great Falls High School Prom. This helps instill a sense of belonging in an academic environment, alien to many of our youth.

* Allowed us to purchase school supplies and winter clothing for youth enrolled in our Aftercare/Early Intervention Program who could not otherwise afford them.

* Each youth in the homes continued the tradition of purchasing gifts for one another that they exchanged at the Christmas party, that included preparing a lavish supper attended by their families and the staff. We were also able to purchase additional presents for the boys and girls who had to remain in the homes on Christmas Day or to open when they returned from home visits.

* Helped pay the registration/test costs for youth to obtain their GED who could not otherwise afford the fee.

* Purchased  supplies and paid registration fees for students required by teachers to complete special projects or  to enroll in certain classes.

* Helped pay the costs associated with the Missouri River Youth and Shelter Home for Boys annual summer trip. This year, they camped at Holter Lake. The boys had a wonderful time and were extremely appreciative. Many had never been camping before,  and would not have enjoyed this opportunity without your support. You helped them experience a healthy activity free from violence, alcohol, and drugs to which many are accustomed.

* Allowed us to purchase a turkey and all the trimmings to prepare a pre Thanksgiving supper in all three homes, cooked by the staff and youth, for them and their families. We treated youth, who had to remain in the homes, to a second succulent non-traditional meal; excused them from chores for the day; and they attended a movie or participated in another community recreational activity they choose.
